Welcome to Gaia! ::

Yesterday was my first time going to a Otakon con and as I saw so many people dressed up as thier favorite character, I thought later on that next year, I want to go as Vincent Valentine. Now my question is, how can I make/ buy Vincent's outfit and how can I make his claw and boots? If I end up making his clothes, do you think it would be easy? Im so confused. sweatdrop
ninja thatll be very hard and to make a claw just get a glove or somethin and clue long metal things to it sweatdrop
I suggest that you start on your sewing experience now. Start with simple store-bought patterns, get some help with them. Work at it until you can design your own things.

For the glove? Don't worry about that until you have the easy part figured out.
lol, not a bad idea NocheLobo. And thanks Lisa Faerie, i'll try my best if not then i'll ask someone to sew it for me.
Does anyone have any other tips?
Don't superglue it.

I won't.
Is it me or is Vincent's red cape a velvet material?

I always considered ti to be more of a wool. Velvet is just such a lavish material, i doesn't make me think Turk turned science project.
When I did his claw (I am very proud of my loverly Vincent costume heart ) I used a long black costuming glove and cut up some 2 liter soda bottles, sanded them a little to keep the paint from chipping, and painted them gold, and for the fingers, I used air freshener caps attached to the fake plastic fingernails... as for the boots, I sorta halfassed them as I was finishing my costume at 2 AM the day of the con XD;; so we don't wanna go there...

Um... i can always just post a link to my costume pics and if you have any questions you can PM/Email me?

mine's a shiney satin-ish material, was hella expensive, but totally worth it in the end.

That's my costume, not the best picture, I can take a few of the costume without me in it if you'd like. The claw is currently sort of in pieces sweatdrop I need to revamp it, was hoping to do it in real metal, along with the boots. I just used a pair of regular black slacks for the pants, inside my knee-high pleather boots, which I don't suggest for everyday wear, btw @_@; hell on the feet. But anyway, The headband is out of the same material as the cape, I can probably find out what it is again. For the shirt, I just sewed six silver buttons onto a turtleneck. And for his right hand glove, weightlifting gloves, embroidery removed from the wrist piece. domokun hope that helps

Thanks for all the tips you gave me, Drakochan ^_^
So far, for the claw I cut a 2 liter soda bottle for the bowl part (which wasn't easy) and for the arm, I might use the paper towel roll which I cut in half so that I can wear it. All I need is gold spray paint and the rest of the parts from the rist down to the fingures.
*throws her right arm in the air and makes a piece sign* EBAY! whee
