Welcome to Gaia! ::

Yeah, I should of put in that when they act out of character in skits. You canact whatever you want like , but if your in a skit and your cosplaying Naruto, and your jus sitting there depressed it like 'umm..?'. Thats why I don't cosplay. I want to but I guess you can say I don't have the body type. One of my friends who is only a bit chubby, was approched and told she was too fat to cosplay.I'd like to cosplay,but because of how some people act, I don't.

dcbndfndf Nooo, you shouldn't let what others say keep you from having fun! ;__;
I really hate it when people bash on others for their size. Everyone's beautiful, and everyone's allowed to have fun. Don't forget that, alright? <3

I don't like when they are complete bitches. Like won't take a picture when you ask for one. Or if you are the same character they will diss yours but calling you fat or ugly emotion_donotwant

Do you mean, if people don't want you to take pictures of them? That's not being bitchy, not all cosplayers wants pictures taken sweatdrop Or they just don't feel like it at that time. I have a friend who does great cosplays, and always gets stopped to take pictures. She can't get herself to decline, even if she is in a hurry, so I often step in, and tell people that we are busy. Sometimes she just doesn't want to be in-character for pictures, and just wants to relax.

And she often have creepers following her around xp So I really really dislike creepers.
Point out flaws on your costume, while your wearing it.

"Well, your Fran is awesome!... Except that you did her ears backwards."

MY GOD, IF I HAD A NICKEL EVERYTIME I HAD HEARD THAT.

Still, so rude, so rude.

When people put their hands on you without your consent!

As a Roxas,
I love my share of Yaoi.
But when you grab me by a piece of my costume and pull me within inches of your face because you're dressed as Axel?
No beuno.

Not only that, but that same person came up to me and legitimately slapped me across the face because he/she was in character for a "bitchy" person.

This is why I hate Grell Sutcliffe ^^^.

I dislike when they pronounce the name of the character, wrong, and act totally different than the character. I also dislike when they make fun of other people's cosplay, and make fun of them for not having the body type of character they are cosplaying. >_<

Ah, uh... What exactly do you mean by "act totally different than the character"? I can understand if you mean in in-character situations, such as skits or what-have-you, but if you mean just in general, I don't think it should matter? At all? I actually got judged as a "b***h" because I was cosplaying a character that everyone in the fandom knows as the "bluh bluh huge b***h" even though I'm very timid and do my best to be polite. A lot of my friends even call me sweet. So it was kind of a shocker to hear someone say to me, "Wow, you're not a total b***h after all! I thought since you were cosplaying so-and-so you'd be a huge jerk." I mean, I was amused at the time, but when I think back on it's a little bit upsetting.

Although that's about the extent of what I've experienced, since I've only attended one con in cosplay so far...

This has been mentioned at least once before here, but I absolutely hate it when people think you can't cosplay something just because you're not skinny/short/tall/busty/flat/white/pale/dark/etc... enough. My first cosplay involved coating all of my skin in grey face paint, so I didn't have to worry about skin tone issues, and I'm pretty darn scrawny, so I didn't get any hassle with that either, but... uhhhg. I just...

Y'know?

I feel obligated to ask;
Were you cosplaying a Homestuck character xD?

Yeah, heheh. It was my first cosplay ever, if you don't want to count my shitty Xigbar from many Halloweens ago.
I like yaoi as much as the next fan, but Im not about to force two cosplayers into some yaoi based situation. At least not without asking first... >///>
But seriously, if you want your favorite characters to do something that requires invading personal space, its polite to ask first and if they dont want to do that, respect it and move along. Dont badger them repeatedly that they have to beat you off with a stick. Same goes with the randomly taking pictures or random hugging and glomping without permission. Some people just dont want to be touched or dont want to risk their outfit getting messed up. Manners dont just fly out the door just because you're at a convention.

Its pretty damn rude if you bash someone for being "too fat" or "not light/dark skinned enough" for a character. Who the hell cares? If they like the character, are trying their best and looking great in their outfit, who are you to tell them that they cant cosplay someone on account of something as trivial as skin color or weight?

Cosplayers that obviously never heard of a shower. Please....for the love of all that is good and holy in the universe, take a damn bath and put on some deodorant. No one wants to smell your B.O. from a mile away, especially if you have been spending all day in the game room. Put on some clean underwear, brush your teeth and shower at least once. Everyone else will secretly thank you.

i have to admit, whenever people ask me to do yaoi stuff i get really irritated.

it's basically the same as asking for really mild soft porn.

it's kinda creepy.

Now I feel bad now. sweatdrop
Although I probably wont ask more than once during the entire duration of the con just to get it out of my system and if I see a situation where it would be okay to ask.
