Oh my goodness... Were do I start?

-People who say they made their costume when it is very clear that they didn't.

-People who brag about getting to stay the whole weekend. There is one con that I go to every year that I only stay one day for, and when people hear I am only there for one day they tell me I am not a true cosplayer. Wtf? I go to 13 cons a year, I stay every day for all of them but that one. Seriously, GTFO.

-When photoshoots get dirty. At Otakon 2011 I was part of a Kingdom Hearts photo shoot, and when they called for Yaoi couples, I ran. I am not interested in a million 13 year old Sora and Riku's making out. People were even asking me and my best friend to make out since I was Riku and she was Sora... it was very frightening.

-When people break/take part of your cosplay. I cannot tell you how many props of mine have been stolen and broken at conventions. Someone broke my Death Note handcuffs one year, and I wanted to cry. (Hardest prop I EVER made.) Also, someone broke my Yoko gun from Gurren Lagann. I wanted to cry.
I have had Yu-Gi-Oh cards stolen from my Kiaba cosplay, and Pokeballs stolen from my Red cosplay.

-People with NO hygiene. I have gottan to a point were I do turn people down for hugs if they smell bad.

-People who get a little to excited for the convention. Yes, they are crazy fun. No, I do not want to hear you shreek about how excited you are wile I am checking in. Especially not in my ear.

-P e d o p h i l e s. (I had to break up the word because Gaia was censoring it before.) I am 17. I do not appreshiate a 40 year old man getting to close to me. I cosplayed Yoko from Gurren Lagann at NYAF 2011 and I was sexually harassed the whole time. I had men telling me they wanted to mate with me, men being very grabby, and one of them asked me to play Just Dance... aka for my breasts to bounce since I was in a bikini top.

There is a lot more... I just cannot write anymore I will get to angry. haha.

I feel obligated to ask;
Were you cosplaying a Homestuck character xD?

Yeah, heheh. It was my first cosplay ever, if you don't want to count my shitty Xigbar from many Halloweens ago.

Vriska maybe?
Everyone violently attacks Vriska cosplayers with "b***h" comments.
Its so terrible ;n;.

Yup, that's the one. :]
I was actually clueless to that until I attended Tsubasacon 2011. I can't help but wonder if the other two Vriska cosplayers got the same assumptions made at them...

People have NO manners.
I wish they'd respect the fact that there are REAL people under those cosplays.
People who don't like to be referred to as "bitches".

Exactly! Especially since I'm a total Fluttershy, I'm way too sensitive for my own good. ;;
But, at least she wasn't the rudest a person could be about it. I'll just have to be a bit more prepared next time I cosplay a jerkish character. That way, if people do decide to be rude about it, I won't be as hurt. My brother, though... depending on how rude they get, he may turn their world upside down!
Cosplayers doing...yaoi things together. I mean I like yaoi and all that, but that doesn't mean I wanna see two Sora and Riku cosplayers sucking face you know? >.<

And you know what else I don't get? Girls cross playing boys, kissing and/or making out and the fangirls calling it yaoi. Yaoi is two boys together, not two girls together. So technically what they are doing would be classified as yuri, not yaoi... I don't get any of it at all. T.T

I'm not really a PDF person, so someone doing that is just totally innapropriate in my opinion. If you really want to make out, GO BACK TO YOUR HOTEL ROOM! scream

As for the fangirl thing, don't try to understand fangirls. I'm female, and even I don't understand fangirls. I'm not sayiing I'm not guilty of watching YAOI and fantasize about it, but if you want kiss, make out, have sex, etc. do it in your hotel room. Yes, it will scare your roommates, but at least no one will have to see anyone's privates in public.
- When they decide to resort to idiotic put downs about your cosplay (ex. 'Your cosplay is gay')
- When they decide to run around, acting like 4 year olds, at the hotel....
- When they glomp you when your not expecting it

Thanks. I volunteer at a non-profit place and one time I had the misfortune of walking in the girl's bathroom and caught two people having sex in a bathroom stall. They got kicked out, but I hope to never have that happen again. gonk redface

oh wow.

yeah... since i'm a guy who goes around as a character often portrayed in yaoi settings by rabid fans (even though it's not canon) i've gotten my share of perving. when someone comes up and asks you make out without someone so they can take a picture, i feel like some kind of cheap pornstar. it's offensive. what's worse is they tend to get butthurt that i won't do it.

>_>

i mean, seriously?

I think that's what security is for. If you say no, and someone gets upset and won't drop it, march right on over to security ops. They either get the hint or start a scene. And if they start a scene with security - it's out the door of the convention and maybe even the hotel.

There's nothing wrong with saying no, but if a threat to talk to security doesn't tell him/her to stop, then march right on over to security ops and tell them.
I hate when cosplay groups all walk around with huge props. I have a personal grudge against Hetalia cosplayers for this one. All those stupid flags. >:C The halls are only so wide, guys.
I'd also prefer if you ask me for a hug than be like "OMG I LOVE YOUR COSPLAY HUG ME~!", and if you see me wearing something complex and delicate, don't hug me with all your strength. Be gentle. ;c

Well, at least you've got a little body guard of your own!

-People who lie about their gender to gain cosplay attention
-People who really only put a tiny bit of effort into their cosplay and walk around like it's the best ever
-Being followed all around the con by someone
-People who touch my wig
