Miss Esa
When they complain that their own costumes in not good enough. I understand being uncomfortable, it happens. But dont b***h that your costume isn't good enough.
The only people who have the right to b***h about a person's cosplay being bad is cosplay judges. I understand that not everyone can sew and look like a Hollywood star, but seriously, if you don't have any pride in your work, why are you even wearing it?
That's my point on the issue. If you can't take pride in what you made, put effort into your own costumes, or even put any effort into how you look, why should you be wearing it in the first place? Do you not care about how you look? And if you don't care about how you look, you're killing a good first impression.
Onto my irritations...
When I tell you I didn't make a costume, please DON'T tell me to lie to the cosplay judges and tell them I made the costume. I'm glad you like my outfit, but please, a convention doesn't equal leaving your morals at the front door.
Location is key for everything. I did a panel for AUSA in 2011, and I spent most of the day before my panel searching for Tech Ops so I could have the right equipment for my panel. Ended up having to escorted to Tech Ops by a staff member because they were down a narrow hall that was easily overlooked by everyone except staff.
