Welcome to Gaia! ::

I need to find a con close to New york for me and my friends to go to as our Homestuck characters.
Any suggestions? o: sweatdrop

I know I'm planning to cosplay one of my other animes in the future~
Just not sure which and when.

I feel bad for you; I haven't seen many cons around the upper east coast area.
Which sucks, because I live in PA... =w=''
I'll see if I can find some for you though.

Edit: So I found a couple cons in the future, on happening in five days...
So I'll recommend the second one:
Tosho-con, August 4th. Rockville Centre Public Library - Rockville Centre, NY
The one in five days:
Tora-Con, April 20-22. Rochester Institute of Technology - Rochester, NY

Hope that helps...
Website I used: Heh. razz I went to Tekkoshocon X, mind you.

I don't really know of many cons that go on up there. Otakon is being held at the end of July, but that is in Balitmore, MD if you were willing to travel down there. It's a great con, largest on on the East Coast and the second largest in all of the U.S.

Anime Boston already happened, but maybe next year you could go?

I think a couple of my friends go to ACEN, but I don't remember where that is. I would honestly just recommend googling anime conventions for the East Coast.

Isn't there a big anime con in New York City?

There's also a comic con if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I went to those.
I'm probably going anyway. Though without a cosplay.

Not sure where in New York you are, but if you're in the south, Connecticon might be a decent bet. It's July 13-15 this year.

NO. THERE IS NO MORE TIME, EVEN FOR CAKE. FOR YOU, THE CAKE IS OVER. YOU HAVE REACHED THE END OF CAKE.

OH. Tora-con still exists? LOL I went to the very first one back in like 2005.

but nowadays I go to southern conventions. Megacon, Metrocon, Shadocon, Tampa Comic Con....and any other little cons that pop up near Tampa.

I really enjoy Metrocon just because the convention center is 5 minutes from my apt.

Megacon is amazing for meeting celebs but the crowds the last 2-3 years have been outrageous.
