Not sure if this should be posted here, but if not, just delete it please mods, and I apologize.
Anyways...My boyfriend and I are looking to create a Naruto cosplayers group for Otakon- and I'm sure there are already plenty out there what with it being the biggest con around, but I can't find any, I tried. I'm obviously just incompetent. I posted on their forum site as well, but at this point the forums there are still sort of dead, and I only got 2 responses total to my general topic Naruto thread, and that's not including anything pertaining to a group either....
I live in the NYC area, and so if you'd be willing to form/help me run a long-term group, I'm totally up for that, and it could be for more than just Otakon. I mean, we have AnimeNEXT, MangaNEXT, NYAF, Connecticon(which I haven't been to, but would be willing to attend), and I think one in Phillie around here, and Anime Boston, AnimeUSA, and Katsucon a little farther away- along with Otakon of course.
We just really want a group for Otakon though, because my boyfriend lives in California, and he comes to visit, but I mean, it isn't that often obviously- and this is his first time coming to Otakon- and he can't come to any of the other conventions this year. He has a whole group over in California that he goes to Fanime with, and he said it would be really amazing if we could find people to make a group here. I never put much thought into it before... most of my friends who actually love anime hate Naruto, and so I never had a chance to cosplay with anyone but him(I mean, I go to conventions w/friends, but you get what I mean). But I figured I'd give it a shot now.
We aren't the closet cosplay types who just throw on a cloak and call it a day, everyone is a perfectionist and very exacting with their outfits, so we shouldn't just fade into that sea of 500 other black cloaks, lol and hopefully seeing us won't annoy you. We try very hard. But... we still need a few more characters to have a full group, and I'd rather not pull random cosplayers out of the crowd when I get there, that's just weird.
So, if you know anybody going as an Akatsuki member from Naruto, PLEASE send them my way. Here's who we still need, but eh I'll take doubles of characters we already have too...why not? I'm trying to meet awesome people here, not kidnap kids and kill them in an attempt to take over the world....
We still need Zetsu, Kakuzu, Kisame, and Deidara for Friday to get a full group...
And Itachi, Kisame, Konan, Kakuzu, and Zetsu for Sunday for a full group... -stressed-
If anyone at all is interested, Akatsuki cosplayer or not, just post here and let me know!! Hopefully I'll see you all at Otakon, and thanks for your time in reading this!!
