So I was thinking about cosplaying for AnimeNEXT 2010 and NYCC2010
But...I've never cosplayed before and well I don't know who I could pull off. So I was hoping you guys could help me figure things out, and well we could ALL help eachother out!

ah! Luis!? Ezio!? how can I choose between the two!
If you want something simple and easy to make Luis would be your guy. Noble wear Ezio would be slightly more difficult due to the fact that Doublets are very strange to sew. the patterns are odd looking and confusing if you haven't sewn anything before.
Ezio is difficult. the hood is no meer hood...also there is the doublet the poofy shirt, the armor and belt. BUT..Ezio is a bad a** and worth the effort

Wow those are all so cool how to choose! And great idea for the picture ^_^ I'm ganna have to borrow that sometime.

I'll be honest I have zero idea who the characters are(Games + Ravenway = bad idea, I get addicted too easily.) but, I like the third one: Ezio. I think the other two are also good but since you mentioned you won't have a group then you'll be most recognized if you do the third one. Or so I think...maybe gamer people would recognize the other two but, I think for sure the third costume stands out. Though it does look the hardest to make.

Dear, oh dear!
I'm having a hard time choosing between 1 and 3. I'd go for something easy, though, especially if you're new to cosplaying.

I actually plan on attending Anime Next this year (I REALLY, REALLY HOPE I GET TO GO, I'LL BE SEEING TWO OF MY LONG-TIME FRIENDS ;__; ) so I look forward to possible seeing how your cosplay turns out~

As for me, I have my own little dilemma... :[

I plan on cosplaying Cawlin (image by itself)

and although I know how I'm going to make everything, I'm having a hard time figuring out what fabrics to use.
I'm thinking fleece, BUT THAT... I'm having doubts. Plus, Fleece kind of looks rather bleh after a few washings, and I'd kind of like this to last for future cons, y'know?

And I would go with regular cotton fabric, but... I can find ALL of the colours I need in fleece, but the bolts of cotton at the fabric store here all seem to have these patterns on them! Cawlin's clothes aren't patterned, aside from the little symbol on the back of his caplet...

Any suggestions?

Those are some toughies, as far as for beginners! o: Young Ezio would be easier out of those three if you're looking for a good starting place. Though, out of them, I'd say Assassin Ezio. n_n
And whoever recommended Godot has a good idea goin'. I'd vote thataway too. c:

I know I am still new and all to Cosplay but I was wondering if any of you knew how to get a template to make outfits cause I am doing Chihiro from Spirited Away and I don't know how to make her outfit for Metrocon (FL) It would be a big help biggrin
