Welcome to Gaia! ::

How much are you spending at con? I think in one week ill drop $400 for just two days
♫ And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

It varies greatly from con to con, depending on my own circumstances.

At MetroCon, I paid 70 USD for con tickets, masquerade tickets, and my share of the hotel room. I purchased all my food for the weekend prior to leaving for Tampa with my EBT card, and I didn't buy anything while I was there. (Then later the friend that I paid for the hotel room etc told me he wasn't gonna cash the check, so it was basically a free con).

For YaoiCon, it cost about 400 USD for plane tickets and my share of the hotel room. Then con passes were 55 USD, and food cost me another 15 USD, plus I got one souvenir that cost about 10 USD. So that's 480 USD for a weekend.

Those are the two extremes, though. Usually I manage to keep it around 50 to 100 USD, depending on where I'm eating and sleeping (if it's close enough to home that I can eat/sleep there, cost drops a LOT).

When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am ♫

Including cosplay, tickets, hotel, food. Usually run me around 300 to 500say maybe more depending on how complex the cosplay is.Its not unreasonable((if you live near the con or are sharing a room))to pay only for tickets-I would set aside some spending money though

On just merchandise it depends. Once I spent nearly $300 but the last time I maybe scratched $100. It all depends on what's there and how much I like or think would be a good deal. Otherwise I look for it online later in the year razz .

It depends on the year that I go. After buying my ticket and paying for the hotel and whatnot, I only had 100 dollars once to get merch. Another year I got to spend 200 dollars.
About $50-80 for cosplay
About $30 for a ticket
probably $30 for gas or parking
about $45 for food
Then probably.... $40-50 for whatever else at the con

so about $200 total or so.
Its a mishmash.

This year we're spending 900 on hotel split with 4 people.
45 per person for the early bird tickets.
I bring about 100 for food. Usually end up with spare cash because we usually only eat at night when nothing but the corner store is open, with one super nice meal on the final day.
And depending on how early I got my cosplay done, between 500 to 900 spending money.

I bring $200 spending which mostly goes to food rofl I don't buy much in the dealers room because I've been going for years and I pretty much have what I want. Then there are tickets which are around $50 for each con, hotel once a year which is usually $200 when split, and costumes which vary in price.

For me, the way my friends and I get to a con is through shared driving, so one of us will drive to one con, and one of us will drive to another and we don't pay for gas.

Tickets are usually 25-30$
I usually bring my own food (since i only go to cons for one day) but i will buy some pocky there and a drink so maybe about 5-7 dollars.
Dealers Room/Artists Alley/ Nominichi: Usually I can go anywhere from 10-40 dollars. Although for cons in november i tend to spend more because I want to go get christmas presents for my friends and family. Althoug hI love getting some zelda merch biggrin

So max at 1 con day is: approx 80$. And that's without the cost of the costume I made.

For me, on average...
Cosplay is $70 - $200
Tickets are around $90 for 2 people.
Hotel is around $70 - $120 for 3 days.
Gas is $60 - $80
Food is $30 - $50
For shopping, $100 - $300
Anything extra is around $100 - $200.

Altogether, its about $900.

I've been lucky when it cmes to convention spending:
Cosplay: $50-90 (its mainly the wigs that cost more for me)
Ticket: $15-50
Merchandise: $25-40 gaia_diamond
Hotel: $0 (the cons we go to are near enough to stay with family or at home)
Gas: $0 (we don't have to stop and re-fuel and our parents pay for it so its not out of pocket anyway)
Food: $25-50 yum_puddi

My total is around $200-230 max yum_tea

I've went to 3 conventions so far:
Castlepoint: $100
AnimeNEXT:$80
Comic-Con: $40
Mhhh, I don't actually buy anything from cons. So the only money I use is for the ticket, traveling, cosplay, possible hotel and food. It must be something really special if I use money in the market area in a con!
Usually my con trips are from 20 to 150 dollars. Depending on how much traveling it calls for and if hotels..
Eeh... Last stupidly expensive one only cost me about $350 for just the room, most of which was paid back by the knuckleheads usin' it. How they paid it back is another story all together.

-ahem-

Otherwise, travel was maybe $40, and I don't even bother gettin' passes anymore. It's not that hard t' sneak into places if you know the layout of the convention center or hotel. -grin-
