~*Funny Cosplay/Convention Stories*~

Let me tell you the story of the Distraction.

My friend and I were at AX09 this weekend. We knew there was a giant map hanging in a hallway, so we went to look at it. I stopped walking to not get in the way of a picture. The picture was of a coatless Dante from DMC3. O: (A very GOOD Dante, might I add...)
So, the picture is done, we eye the Dante as we contune to do down the hall.
Ten feet later I stop and look at the wall and say, "Wait, the map was around here; where'd it go?!"
We turn around to see the map -- BEHIND DANTE.

Dante is magical and made the map disapear for a few minutes.
Later in the day, we walk by the map again, Dante isn't there. I say, "Hey, the map's back!"

Ahhhhh.
It was great...


Oh, then there was Kadaj. I saw Kadaj go into a room and I was like "asdfghjkl;SQUEE". I go downstairs to take pictures of Cloud and Tifa. Out of nowhere I hear someone, I turn and I freak out because Kadaj ninja'd to where I was.

Meh. I have three. All pretty funny if you ask me.

So, I was Naka-kon this year and me, who was cosplaying L, and my friends and a whole bunch of other people were hanging out in this one area and it turned into a hug fest. I gave an Ichigo a hug and then I said, "Ichigo! You better watch out! I hear Kira is after you for breaking into the Soul Sociaty!" And then he said, "Okay! Here's the real story! I was smuggling drugs!" So we all had a good laugh.

This also happened at Naka-kon. I was down the elevator from getting something for helping out with the Anime Clue. And on the way down, some person came in and asked if I saw Floor 18. I said no and he pressed the 18 button. And when the door's opened, there were mattresses stacked in front of the doorway. I was like 'Wtf?' and then I lol'd. ;D

So on Halloween, I was cosplaying L (It's the only finished cosplay I have at the moment. > >" ) and my other three friends were dressed up as a Japanese Street Performer, Pirate ( I think. Can't remember. @ @ ), and the Queen of Hearts. So we were at the one guys house and he asked who we were and I was said, "I'm a British Detective working on a case in Japan." and he said, "You win the costume contest!" XP

I have one that's kinda funny (but doesn't have much to do with cosplay)

We (my sister my dad and I) were going to a con, and we got lost (I swear we were driving around in circles for at least half an hour). So we pulled over next to this dude (and yes we were in costume, besides my dad) and asked him through the car window if he knew where the place was. (and we literally said hey dude or guy or something I don't really remember...). Well this guy wasn't really a guy, she was a lesbian cross- dresser person. And when she told us directions we were all like eek , yet she looked the same way because of our costumes...

Teh Artificial Drug

I run into the center of a large crowd and shouted "I lost the game" so everyone started yelling "I lost the game" too :]

Everyone that was by the DDR game was surprised when I started playing DDR with five inch heels ._.

One girl had been in the same spot asking for hugs for at least 30 minutes so I went over and gave her a hug. While I was there I took my phone out and started playing Caramelldansen and we started dancing for hugs. About ten other random people joined us, we started blocking the hallway, and staff asked us to move. BUT we got hugs :3

You're right, your stories aren't very funny. I don't think "LOL I LOST TEH GAME" or Caramelldansen are funny any more (well, Caramelldansen was never funny/cute), and if you're causing enough of a disruption/blockage that staff actually has to talk to you about it, you should probably rethink what you're doing. Just saying.


Funny story from me: At Nekocon, my best friend was dressed as Ness from Earthbound/Smash Brothers for a skit we were doing. There were some REALLY awesome Team Fortress 2 cosplayers there, and one of them was a RED Scout, who happened to have a baseball bat. My friend asked him if they could take a picture together with both their baseball bats, and it ended up being a really adorable picture of them in basically the same pose.

Well, at AMA, we were wearing our Smash Brothers costumes again, and a friend of mine was doing a mini-photoshoot of us so we could get some actual pictures (since at Nekocon we'd gotten basically none), when a guy dressed as a RED Scout from TF2 came up to my friend and asked her for a baseball bat picture. It was the most hilarious deja vu ever. AMA was like Bizarro-Nekocon. xd

Aat the last con I went to I was walkimg around in my Greed cosplay and I hear. "GREED!" some girl walked up to me and knelled down and asked me to marry her. Of cousre I didn't know what to say so a Kadaj(sp?) that was with her said. "If you say no I'll hurt you (or something like that)" so I stood there not knowing what to say, and then my find dragged me away towards the escolators shouting "My Greed!" and when we were on the escolator I turned around and Kadaj was there with his sword at my throat! It was so much fun. We then walked by later and the girl was proposing to someone else... and I walked over and yelled. "Hey! I thought you were gonna marry me!" and was dragged away by my friend again, who was still shouting "My Greed!"

momocon09, was the first year I ever cosplayed, I went as uryu ishida from bleach. All day at the con me and my friend (a naruto) kept running into a crossplaying ishida, of course this sparks debates between me and her about who is the true quincy and who is the fake one, well its about 10 maybe 11 pm and we run into her again and I had an idea I grabbed the naruto and walked over to her and said
"I have decided that you are my shadowclone so this means that you are the fake,"
She looks at me and says without missing a beat "I am not your shadowclone I am your sexynojutsu,"

It was so funny, then two random fangirls asked for a picture so we did and then they hugged the other uryu so I told them I didnt want a hug anyway, at which point I got molested by a 12-13 year old it was so much fun.

I've been mistaken for the opposite gender an embarrassing number of times, but the most recent in-cosplay one was quite cake-taking.

I was in this getup:
while playing in the games room at JaCon this year. "A Companion Cube playing SEGA?!", and the fanboys with phonecameras gathered.

One of them asked me something,and he couldn't hear me through the helmet, so I took it off to answer. Before I said anything he shouts, surprised,
"DUDE I TOTALLY THOUGHT THAT WAS A CHICK, LOOK AT THOSE MAN-BOOBS!"

everything went silent for a few seconds, I put my helmet back on and continued playing, and I hear from behind me his friend inform him "Dude, uh, I think that is a chick."
