I agree with rachie; expo hangover is not fun. Last time the gits had big drums they wanted to play really loudly. DX
I've practically given up drinking anyway, living on your own you quickly learn there's more important things that you could be buying like cosplay materials or food. I'll probably have a few if we go out anywhere for my birthday but I'm definitely past what I did before uni.

I really hope the panel is in the morning, other wise it's bound to start clashing with the cosplay stuff. ><

Yeah and it's a real problem for me as I have alot of photoshoots arranged with ppl >_<

Hey all ^_^ I'm hoping to come to this convention too and, since it'll be my first convention, I'd really like to know what advice people have and what people have enjoyed the most at this kind of thing so I have some idea what'll be worth seeing/doing?

Will there be stuff to buy there? As long as I can buy interesting things I'll be happy enough even if nothing but Gaia interests me. I'm hoping to go both days and I think I have everything booked.

I think I saw someone say that they won't release a schedule for what's on when until a lot nearer the time or on the day - is that right?

I did that, it just makes me wonder that if everyone does that I may be queuing for hours anyway. xd

I don't think I'll be cosplaying, I have thought about it but getting a costume together would be costly, I'd probably look like crap and if there are goodies at the convention I'd rather spend my money on those since travelling and a hotel are going to sap quite a bit of it anyway. There are quite a lot of people who don't dress-up, right? sweatdrop

I really hope that the Gaia panel is later than 11 or else I won't be able to go to it. That would suck, and it's probably gonna happen too. We have to take the ferry since the tunnel's booked since it's halfterm over there or something and we won't get there till about 10:30 and then we have to wait in line...

@Xeiya: Yeah, there are many people who don't cosplay^^

Gaia panel: Will be on the main stage around 11ish maybe???? I'm just assuming... if i'm right OMG I R EPIC

I really hope it won't be 11ish, poor people in the normal queue would still be queueing up!! Unless they're first in line then they'd easily make it in, but if say they're in the middle of the queue then they probably wouldn't get in til 10-20mins later =/

I hope it's like 12ish or something @_@

@Xeiya: Don't worry about not being in costume, there are plenty. A friend that's going with me probably won't be going in costume either ^_^

And I beg to differ about the advance tickets. I have never had to wait for more than 30mins in the normal queue, well actually I've never timed - I get too excited socializing to expo friends 8D;; But it's probably 30mins.
Okay maybe Saturday you might want an advance ticket as they do generally take longer to get in, but Sunday I don't think it's all that necessary as it's more relaxed and quieter =]
That's just my opinion though, don't take my word for it ^^;

Ah yes and bring foooood and drinks in advance, they're so overpriced at expo D'x A triple chocolate muffin for £2.50!? I could get 4 for the same price and quality at TESCO for 75p D'x [yes we love our muffins =P]

And finally yes there is a huge variety of things you can buy [I've certainly been very happy in the past expos with lots of Arina Tanemura goodies! <3], I say look around at least once first to look for the best bargain. My friend made the mistake of buying something for £7, then in another stall they had the same item for £5! ;_; [it was an Ouran patch]

Thank you, and thanks Kirara, from the way people were talking about dressing-up I was beginning to think I'd stand out like a sore thumb in normal clothes. xd

I'd heard that any food or drink you buy at the convention would be expensive but that is pretty stunning. sweatdrop It's still good to know that they will sell food there though seeing as I don't want to lug around a heavy bottle of water.

Lol, we buy the day before ;D [and isn't TESCO's open 24hrs apart from weekends? xD]

@Xeiya: Depends what you want to buy. There's sci-fi and comics, manga, anime, wall scrolls, posters, plushies, collectors cards, cosplay & lolita, random japanese snacks, artwork and a whole lot more.

Food & drinks are expensive probably because it's convenient for expo goers therefore they can raise the price up a bit. I can't remember the correct term [too much work, brain's gone dead] but it shows I've been listening in Business Studies ;P

omg! my friend just made my wig and I know i' telling everyone but it loooks sooo epic it's like perfect it looks exactly like hinata hair. See most ppl forget the spiky bits at the back but no not this genius lady god i; gonna get it on Saturday i'll post piccys up tommorow biggrin
