Cosplay doubts

So, I got an idea for a cosplay that I would really like to do. I love the character and I have the same face shape and everything. But there's one thing that's holding me back from going full force into this.

The fandom the character belongs to is notoriously derpy. Should I even bother or should I just brace myself for all the glomps and squees and askings of yaoi pictures just for the chance to meet some cool people and get some nice pictures.

Also, things that make you doubt your cosplay choices.

I went through the same thought when I wanted to cosplay Shuu from Hatoful Boyfriend, except it'd be if people EVEN realizes what character I am. Anyways, I would go for it! Yeah, there may be times when fans can get out of hand, but all you can try is avoid those situations, always say no to derogatory poses, kickbe polite with the fans while telling them to stop and things like that.

Some events like those can't be helped, but if you think the cosplay is fun, then don't turn back and keep moving forward~!

You should go for it. If you like the character you shouldn't be bothered with those derps.

Just a little worried. It's a pretty big convention, they had to put attendance cap this year and the fandom is really popular. It's daunting to think most of the 20 000 people there will recognize me.

If you think you can't manage the crazy fans then don't do it, you won't be happy at the con while trying to avoid those people

here's a bit of advice, two words: controlled insanity. You need to be able to take the insuing oddity and throw it back just as strong or even stronger. They laugh, you laugh louder.

Another thing, with that many attendees and the popularity of your series chances are you won't be the only one doing that cospaly so, I'm sure that'll play into your attention factor. So maybe don't worry about too much glomping and petitions for yaoi photos.

If you really like the character, just do it if you want too, having glomp by fans and taking picture with them are just part of the fun wink
