I wanted to stay at the Hyatt, but my mom's chaperoning, and I figured that since that's the actual convention site, it'd be too much for her.
I didn't want to do that to her on Mother's Day weekend... The poor woman...
Last year she almost had a heart attack! We were waiting in line and a Hard Gay cosplayer walked by and she just walked away. (Of course that's a good thing since there were worse things that happened later in the line. >> << >> )

it was easier when they had acen on my birthday instead of mother's day. i don't think i'd be able to drag my mom into acen though. i'd give her flowers and a card or something before i went to acen. it doesn't bother me that much that i'm not at home at the time. it's nice to get out of the house once in a while, i don't have that much freedom to do whatever i want at home, and my mom drives me crazy the second she comes back from work. i love her to death but i need some escape from this place. i kinda like the peace and quiet. i suppose that may seem odd but yeah.

I mean... It's not even for another 140 more days... v.v

So, are any of you as excited as me for acen?
I'm finally going to give my money to my friend for my wig.
I don't buy it myself, because my parents don't really know about the whole cosplay thing.
They don't even know that I even have the costume (once again, bought through a friend).
They do know about ACen, and they'll let me go as long as I go with my friend.
Anyway, back on to being excited about Acen; This is my first year.
What should I be prepared for?
