@Fluffy: I don't want to sound mean but I'd just ignore your gran. I mean, she'll understand if it's what you truly want to do in life, right? She's your gran, she loves you no matter what. mrgreen sappy, I know. =] Good luck with the whole radio thing.

@Little: I have no idea. Although she even said once that she doubts I'd get anywhere ether because of my lisp. D:
So even though she knows that it's what I want to do, and that doing this shows how determined I am to work in radio (I'm actually dreading my first appointment, but I'll do it if it'll help me), she doesn't seem to be very supportive about it, despite the rest of my family encouraging me.

I've very very quickly scanned through a few though; Merry belated Christmas everyone! And in case I don't remember to come online have a Happy New Years! =]
I seem to be the only one that missed Doctor Who, I haven't missed it in ages! Argh. I want to see it even now to see why it wasn't as good as the normal Xmas specials! I was too busy gambling playing cards with the family T^T

@Fluffy: Well don't let it get you down. 4laugh You can do anything if you try hard enough. I guess she's not supportive because she doesn't want you to get your hopes up and then be even more disappointed if it fails anyway. Which it won't. 4laugh

I can't believe you missed doctor who! I was playing monopoly with my family and was like... Screw this. ^^ They had to put the game on hold. Teehee. Well I'm sure you can watch it on the website. =] There will probs be re-runs as well.

Yeah, probably, after all, any job that's connected to the media industries is highly competitive and difficult to get, that's what I learned. But still, my parents know that I shouldn't get my hopes up either, but are still helping me out a bit (My dad phoned me to tell me about how the hospital radio station nearby is looking for volunteers, for example). It seems like she doesn't want me to work there at all. sweatdrop
Also, my mum said today that she doubts my doctor will book me an appointment with a speech therapist. So if I really can't get anywhere with a lisp, I guess I'm screwed. gonk

@Destiny: Don't worry, I missed Doctor Who as well. I miss it all the blimmin' time. gonk
I keep telling myself to watch it, then I forget every week, despite being the only one out of my friends who never watches it.
Strange, considering I only ever miss Harry Hill's TV Burp when I'm somewhere else while it's on. D8


And, the first volume of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is pre-ordered on Amazon! Hurrah!
I've actually found a figure of Itoshiki on another website. Pondering whether to pre-order that too or buy it at the expo, seeing as it's likely to be there...
Might be a bit more expensive at the expo, but since I'm planning to cosplay Itoshiki anyway, it would be pretty funny to buy a figure of myself... decisions, decisions...
