I'm gonna do black jacket ed elric since the red jacket is overdone. Plus, I ruined the black jacket and did the non-red one accidentally. xD

I'm not a great Death Note fan anyway. I hate nearly all of the characters. Matt's alright since he didn't do anything wrong. Mello used bad methods and Near's just a pain in the arse. L was ok, but he was just annoying at times. Light's plain evil and Misa shoulda stayed away from Light. XD Sorry. xD

I've got to agree with you, after reading it through the once I really don't see what everyone is still raving about. Yeah it was a good series and I enjoyed reading it but I doubt I'll every read it again now I'm done with it and I just can't be bothered with the anime. (I honestly don't get what's so amazing about the movie either.)
In terms of characters, L was ok but I just don't get why there's such a huge fan base for him and Light was the only one I really liked but that was really just cause I wanted him to kill Near and shut him up.

I'll always remember what my partner said about L and Misa; wearing lolita or white top and jeans /= Misa or L. Costumes like that are just too easy to half-a** if you can't be bothered to put the effort in. Though it does make it look good when someone actually goes all out with them.
I'd love to see someone to Misa in her straight jacket or something like that just cause I've never seen anyone here do it before.

There were loads of Misas in Sept, even a crossdressing one (Which was hilarious, I admire their guts).

I don't mind how many of the characters there are. I think it's a shame when someone gets put off coz they're popular cosplayed characters. (I've done that myself with Ed Elric, but I'm gonna do it anyway one day with an armoured alphonse hopefully and a Mustang).

It's kinda boring cosplaying an unknown, as you get little recognition-that happened with my first two expos.

there should be a map soon of the place (we hope)

Maps out on the day pretty much, If I remember they MAY put it up a couple of days before but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I've not seen a thing on Gaia about expo yet annoyingly though it's been a while since I checked. They advertise in advance for the US cons but nothing for us. T.T I hope it's not like the panels in the US I've heard of where people end up fighting over freebies thrown out. DX

If you mean the underground then yeah, first weekend of half term always means maintenance which is kinda silly if you think about it

You can plan underground journeys and it shows all work and bus replacements etc.

fighting over freebies = Not very likely considering the gathering for our gaia group last time it's highly doubtful there will be many of us to fight against.... if it comes to fighting BRING IT ON > biggrin (although I will probably give you the stuff afterwards as I dont actually like Gaia -.-)

:O if u have just turned 18 congratulatiosn! I'm 19 though will not be at bar I don't wana get drunk as the day after I will have a horrible thoart and I wanna enjoy expo xD

I agree with rachie; expo hangover is not fun. Last time the gits had big drums they wanted to play really loudly. DX
I've practically given up drinking anyway, living on your own you quickly learn there's more important things that you could be buying like cosplay materials or food. I'll probably have a few if we go out anywhere for my birthday but I'm definitely past what I did before uni.

I really hope the panel is in the morning, other wise it's bound to start clashing with the cosplay stuff. ><
