You know it to be true.
I haven't seen your eyes for years,
And can't remember if green or blue.

But I remember the way you used to smile,
Teeth glinting white like pearls.
The way that I would hold you tight,
And say you were my world.

I try to live, but it gets tough,
For every passing day...
Those fish with which I surround myself,
Make everything turn grey.

I love them so, but I loved you more.
I regret losing our match.
I'm aging, and lonely. But you are not.
But you've always been a hell of a catch.

"Days have come and gone since we were together,

Our love for each other used to be so strong, we were birds of a feather.

It saddens me that our bond has slowly come undone.

When I think of you, all I can do is sigh,

I miss looking upon you and seeing heaven in your eyes.

All I wish is for us to be together like how we used to be.

Agatha, my dear, it's been quite awhile
Since the days in our past when together we'd smile.
You couldn't fish worth a damn but still you tried
You said you enjoyed it, but I know you lied
And I'd get bored while you looked through cases
of gems and jewels with hard, shiny faces.
Our interests were different, but still we found
A way to create some common ground
We laughed, we cried, we had good times
But, in the end, there were just too many signs
That our paths should split, and so we went on
Knowing those memories would be long gone.
But this Valentine's Day, I want to make amends.
Do you think there's a way we could still be friends?
