While trying to use my new HDTV with my XBox 360, the video doesn't completely scale to the screen. (Picture below)

I have tried changing the display settings within the XBox, but nothing has fixed it. The Widescreen settings just squish the display together. This is the first HDTV that I have used so I'm unsure if I have to buy additional cables to fix this. Please help. neutral
Just realized that I posted in the wrong place. Sorry! sweatdrop

I met Buddha today. He said he'd put me on the path of enlightenment for three payments of $19.95.

If you want the display to fit the screen completely, you need your TV to be taller or for it to not be as wide. Either that, or you'd have to stretch the display, making everyone look fat.

you probably set the output resolution at SDTV level. you might have also connected your xbox 360 using the yellow red and white plugs, which don't make video in HD. are you using HDMI or component cables? and check your resolution settings and make sure its in 720p.

Depending on what tv brand you have you should be able to press a button called "picture" and after you press that you can change the settings to what you please
