Hey there everybody!!!
So yeah I just have a quick question for ya.

So I'm looking at buying a new computer. I'm looking for a gaming rig, but I don't know much about what I'm looking at.

So just wondering would the computer in the link work for my Gaming/ music recording needs?

The computer I'm looking at...
YEah much appreciated.

It depends on your personal preference. In all honestly I'm gonna say no. Pentium is an outdated processor on gaming standards. What you want to look at is gaming companies such as Velocity Micro or Alienware. I would suggest Velocity Micro simply because of the warranties, guarantees, customer support, and more practical case design of their Raptor Z90.

EDIT: Link to the Raptor configuration screen: http://velocitymicro.com/wizard.php?iid=18

I'm going to say no based on the fact it has integrated graphics, if you're playing 3D games that's a no no.

Ok the com is well supported for multimedia but does not fare well in heavy gaming. Maybe light gaming.

Funny. The link was working a few minutes ago. Either way it was running a pentium processor. If he's looking for a gaming com, that's a definite no no. As soon as I seen "pentium" my answer was no.

For gaming $500 will not cut it unless you forgo things like a new monitor. If you are willing to buy a computer sans the extra things like a monitor you can get some deals, but don't get your hopes up.

WRONG!!! I skipped everything but the essential components for my gaming com and it still came up at $3500. The cheapest I could make it while still being useful for games was about $2100. Still you can't judge a com by it's price. You need to look at its specs for a good conclusion. I could go to some random store on the mainland and buy a com for $5000 that had an intel pentium 2 processor, 512 MB RAM, a GeForce 2 series graphics card, and 20 GB of hard drive space but that does not make it a good com. It all depends on where you get your materials that will determine the price.

Are you a troll? What did waste your money on? A very good gaming computer with just the tower and contents inside that can be bought for $700-800. I bought my laptop for less than $1500 and it out performs most of my friends towers at gaming.

I have to agree with wazza, you wasted your money if it cost you that much.

What'd you do, buy the most powerful parts available at that moment or something?
That's always a waste of money.

Also, "pentium" is a name intel has used for multiple processor lines (since you can't copyright numbers), we'd need the exact specs to tell.

Nvidia GTX295 GPU, 6 GB of RAM, Intel Core i7 processor extreme edition, some sound card (didn't really care about it), an internet card from an external vendor, and 1TB of hard drive space. Also I do not believe that any laptop can hold a graphics card greater than 9600 or so and I can easily expand my RAM should it be necessary (which ATM it is not). And BTW just the core i7 extreme would cost more than $800 unless you have a REALLY good vendor.

True but they don't mark processors with pentium it it's a core 2 duo or something. I'm gonna have to say that it's still a no as Pentium is a name generally used on outdated processors just like celeron.

Be educated, better graphics than what you have. In a laptop.

There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.
