If this still doesn't work, try closing one program at a time. If this is still not working click Start->Type in search-> RUN open RUN and type in the dialog box, msconfig.
Note: you can just type msconfig in the blank bit there, or press start + R to open the run prompt.

I just got a new hard drive in my Toshiba that had this problem. Are you able to use the cursor? Can you restart your computer at all? (mine couldn't restart without me pressing the power button) , granted this wasn't the only problem I had. Do you have any blue screen errors at all? Do you hear any clicking ?
I'd suggest, if you call the company and they tell you to reformat (not reboot, that's restarting your computer by letting it go off then back on...reformat=remove and replace the OS) , BACK UP ALL DATA, AND TRY AGAIN! If that fails, call them back, and they can try to help you from there.

Not to crash your parade but Reboot is the same as reformat and there's a word for restart, restart/turn off/on. Reboot means to erase previous actions and start anew.
reboot means to turn off and turn on, not to restore. Learn your terminology before preaching to the regulars.
Also I didn't ask so what's with the flame you egotistical kid? Learn to think before you speak young one.

@tokyo: LOL haven't used msconfig in forever razz Well anyway I was under the impression that she couldn't click (left or right) on anything on her screen and thus suggested the keyboard shortcuts instead.

If you don't learn the old way, you won't have a broad vision of things. Try learning everything, not just the simple ways because not everything works with new things, so doing it manually is just as good. It usually does the work better. =/ MANUALLY

You are one angry person.

What he responded with was not angry at all, he was letting you know of a shortcut to make things easier.

He even added a happy little emote to the end because he was trying to be friendly, and then you respond with such a negative post?

Bull crapola.

Reboot is the process of turning the computer off and back on.

(Re)format is the act of completely erasing everything on a hard drive. In this case it would be coupled with the reinstall of the operating system.

If you are going to preach learn your theology.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reboot_(fiction) I mean really, you guys are all wrong...

Reboot, in serial fiction, means a discarding of much or even all previous continuity in the series, to start anew. Effectively, all previously-known fictive history is declared by the writer(s) to be null and void, or at least irrelevant to the current storyline, and the series starts over as if brand new.

.....did you even read what you copied?

THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT SERIAL FICTION SERIES. BOOKS. THINGS YOU READ. You know, printed bound paper leaflets that tell a story in succession?
