UAC still exists on 7, but they had to lower the security restrictions since some programmers just can't do it right and people won't stop using unsafe programs (anything that makes UAC pop up constantly is unsafe).

Vista doesn't crash under load, something else was causing it to crash (as is the way with XP and 7).

It might have been. but I only ran into it on Vista. even with everything updated. But i dont use it anymore. Only XP and 7 now. and i'm happy.

Edit: BSOD's really happend in Vista when using Pi and Prime 3nodding

7 > XP > Vista

I can see a battle between 7 and XP since it's based on preferences and other minor details.

Vista on the other hand...

Considering 7's new and all, I'm willing to bet that the latest of some driver at the time you had vista was buggy, and the version available for 7 had that bug fixed.

Calculus, blah blah, please list reasons and blah blah.

I agree on this one , windows 7 is turning more into a work computer.
Give me reasons.

Because being security wise, you have to do tweaks in playing especially those online games around and there's already been an issue with windows 7 and game guard with the updates that have been released by win7 that made game guard not possible to work and that you can't play the games who has it.
That's because those online games use Gameguard, Hackshield, and other related technologies that act more like a rootkit than the game itself. The problem is in those technologies, not windows 7. If windows 7 doesn't allow something to work, it's generally because allowing it to work could be dangerous.

The above article talks about bypassing hackshield, but is a few months old and hackshield has been updated since then so while it uses the same sort of methods, the exact ways to bypass it are no longer the same.

Games is compatible with vista but it suck when it comes to the administration thing and all.
Explain exactly what you mean and give reasons to support it.

Well, I haven't used Vista but I do get comments from other people and what they are saying is that:

1. Vista lacks the capability to support the old hardware and software. - we all know that when it comes to gaming, some old games doesn't work in vista even in its compatibility mode.
That's usually because the games were created for old technology that no longer exists in Vista. Of course, this mainly has to do with DOS games and games from 1998 and such, which you shouldn't expect to run on Vista in the first place due to the age of them. It's how computers and technology in general work. Usually backwards compatibility only works with THE (singular) previous generation, not something 4 generations back.

This is how computers work, not just windows 7. Get used to it.
Playstation 2 plays Playstation discs as well. What else? NOTHING.
XBOX 360 also plays XBOX discs. What else? NOTHING.
Wii plays Gamecube discs. What other discs? NOTHING.

2. The amount of graphic hardware availability is less for DirectX10 onwards (which is what Vista is using) which makes it hard for those hardcore players out there to have a choice of upgrades for better quality games.
You have no clue what you're talking about. Directx 10 has been in modern graphics cards for multiple product generations. Any hardcore gamer would be using a card that supports directx because all "hardcore" cards do.

One small thing I'd like to say is that you can get emulators to play the old games on vista or windows 7. Just because people don't know about them, or don't have the computer literacy to use them doesn't mean that there isn't any way at all to play the old games. The emulator is a standalone freeware that mimics DOS, or whatever platform you need to play the game. They even have emulators that run nintendo 64 or sega games on your computer inside the emulator. Just because the game itself isn't supported, doesn't mean there's no way to play it.

Those don't always work, because some games relied on portions of windows as well (DOS isn't the only thing that's been deprecated!), and some games used a 16-bit windows installer. 64-bit versions of windows dropped support for 16-bit programs. Since it's a windows program the installer itself won't run in dosbox, so you'd need an alternate OS install just to get at the game files to try to run them in dosbox.

Better then vista and about on par with xp, still a wee bit slower then xp at times but runs some programs a lot faster then xp so its mixed. Most programs will have a lrge speed increase in comparison to vista and have only had a few odd problems with microsoft word opening text files a bit odd but about it 8/10, much better but has problems.

XP/Vista/7 perform about the same.

Funny you mention Mojave, since that experiment prooved that vista-bashers don't know what they're talking about.
