Why not?
Windows is usually a good bet for games.
Perhaps some stuff isn't compatible now (idk to what extent), but that'll change quick enough.
I mean, it's not like developers can afford not to market to what most consumers use... >>;

.
well vista was bugged for most of tha games and windows 7 is more of a work computer blaugh

I agree on this one , windows 7 is turning more into a work computer.

Games is compatible with vista but it suck when it comes to the administration thing and all.

I still prefer XP in playing games though since most games are compatible with it, and if you want a computer to work on with, I prefer Mac OS with it. biggrin

Neither of those statements are true.

Explain exactly what you mean and give reasons to support it.

Because being security wise, you have to do tweaks in playing especially those online games around and there's already been an issue with windows 7 and game guard with the updates that have been released by win7 that made game guard not possible to work and that you can't play the games who has it.

Well, I haven't used Vista but I do get comments from other people and what they are saying is that:

1. Vista lacks the capability to support the old hardware and software. - we all know that when it comes to gaming, some old games doesn't work in vista even in its compatibility mode.

2. The amount of graphic hardware availability is less for DirectX10 onwards (which is what Vista is using) which makes it hard for those hardcore players out there to have a choice of upgrades for better quality games.

It was my first time being captivated by the likes of you.
I thought everything was going to be okay.

But I don't know what you really want of me.
Is it of what I do for you? Or is simply because I'm me.

I gave up a lot of things for you.
Remember that.

That's because those online games use Gameguard, Hackshield, and other related technologies that act more like a rootkit than the game itself. The problem is in those technologies, not windows 7. If windows 7 doesn't allow something to work, it's generally because allowing it to work could be dangerous.

The above article talks about bypassing hackshield, but is a few months old and hackshield has been updated since then so while it uses the same sort of methods, the exact ways to bypass it are no longer the same.

That's usually because the games were created for old technology that no longer exists in Vista. Of course, this mainly has to do with DOS games and games from 1998 and such, which you shouldn't expect to run on Vista in the first place due to the age of them. It's how computers and technology in general work. Usually backwards compatibility only works with THE (singular) previous generation, not something 4 generations back.

This is how computers work, not just windows 7. Get used to it.
Playstation 2 plays Playstation discs as well. What else? NOTHING.
XBOX 360 also plays XBOX discs. What else? NOTHING.
Wii plays Gamecube discs. What other discs? NOTHING.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Directx 10 has been in modern graphics cards for multiple product generations. Any hardcore gamer would be using a card that supports directx because all "hardcore" cards do.

Been using it since early this year. I want to say about March or April. It's so much better than windows last few operating systems, easily the best yet. Still followed in second by XP, because Vista was god awful.

What is there about vista you disliked that doesn't exist in 7?
Or, what is there about XP and 7 that Vista didn't have?

A good friend will come bail you out of jail...

My main problem with Vista, it was too clunky. It was a resource whore. It used so much computer resources it wasn't even funny. Windows 7 fixed this and streamed it down to a consumption more like XP. That combined with the awesome new features of 7 make it far superior.

Learn the difference between "resource" and "cache" and you'll know why :3

I just want to defend Win7. I have been using it almost since its arrival in testing publically.

I think it is far superior then Vista and XP. one perfect example.

I load XP or Vista onto a computer, I automatically have to load drivers for almost everything. LAN,Chipsets,GPU support. With windows 7 I loaded it on 2 machines. 1 high end Gaming PC and a small laptop. one ATI AMD one Intel Nvidia. only until i wanted to use an old printer and My SLI did i have to download drivers. No other bugs where present.

With Vista, My computer would crash constantly with the slightest overclock, and yet on a different partition, XP would run flawlessly. On 7, I am getting even better stable clocks.

I love how they did away with some annoyances like the UAC ( I have yet to see it in my Win 7 OS) Other little bugs like crashing constantly due to workload is gone. Auto cad works for me now no problems (2 screens and it worked without drivers from OEM!!)

In my own opinion. my experience with Win 7 has been nothing but blissful and pleasing.
