All the HP ipod is, is an ipod with HP laser eched into the back. Besides that they are exactly the same. I would suggest just getting the regular iPod.
I think that an HP iPod is compatible with both a Mac and PC. Like, ONE IPOD will work on both, so you don't have to buy two iPods if you have different computers.

I owe Justus 100 thousand dollars and one left nut

normal iPods are compatible with Windows aswell as Mac...
I've had my ipod for about 2 years now. still work's great...just got it a new battery though. I'd go for a new one, 20 gigs, unless you really feel like you'll run out of space. the color one isnt anything special from what i've heard. and the u2 one looks slick.
Honestly ipods arnt on my list to get.... like think of it if you were get find 10,000 songs it would take forever to put on the friggen thing and by the time you find 10,000 songs they'll be ancient

Well forever is an very long time. I've already filled my 20gb iPod with no troubles. Took me 15 minutes to transfer the songs from my computer to it. Now I'm disapointed that I didn't buy the 40gb iPod for the extra room.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
No one has yet to show any technical difference between a regular 20 or 40 Gig iPod and the same models branded as iPod+hp. The only real world difference is that Costco sells the HP branded iPods for up to $30 less than the same model sold in an Apple Store. But you have to be a member to take advantage of that price.
Im pretty sure the only difference with the HP model and the normal one is that the HP is formatted to work with windows and it has an HP logo on the back. Other than that its basically the same thing...
