Hey, whoever is reading this ^^

Every time I go to gaiaonline.com, my computer says that there is some unsecure connection and it asks me to allow only the secure connection and when I click yes "only allow secure connection" it doesn't show the layout(like color and images), only the wording.

So now I just say no and it shows gaia normally, but recently there has been this popup that shows up randomly while I'm doing things on gaia. It says like "You're computer is at risk of a virus, click here to download this virus protection". I ignore it and exit out of it, but then it loads a page and it STARTS to download this virus on my computer! Even though I did not click to download the "virus protection"

Anyways, how I know that this is a virus. This happened to my friend, but she wasn't on gaia. Instead of clicking out of it when it starts to download the virus, I guess she freaked and didn't know what to do. So it loaded onto her computer and it completely messed her computer up. She got it fixed and she told me about it. So now I exit out of the pop-up and then exit out of the page that starts to download the virus to my computer, followed by turning my computer off...

lol wow, I didn't expect this to be long, but what I'm wondering is......Has this happen to anyone while they are on gaia, besides me?

The virus stuff comes from an ad.
If you want to help Gaia get rid of it, there's a sticky in the Bug Reports for how to report it and help them track it down.

The secure stuff is a bug I thought was over... hadn't heard much for a few days.
There's something weird where Gaia changes from http:// to https://, which designates a secure site.
However, since the images on Gaia are not encrypted, when you view only secured content, they are blocked.
Removing the s from the url should work, at least temporarily...
If possible, it'd be nice if you made a report about it, being sure to mention what you are doing when it happens.

Ah, I see.

Do you think it's too late to report it, since it happened like two days ago?

The https thing?
If it's not happening anymore, I wouldn't bother.
Again, I thought they'd fixed it.

No, I mean is it too late to report the pop-up thing?
The https is still happening with me..I guess I should report as well?

The process for reporting the ad requires that you install an add-on for your browser.
If you do that and it happens again, you'll be able to report it the way they want...
So if you don't mind the extra ad-on, you should go see the sticky n_n

And yeah, mention the https thing too.
