Transfer of steam data?

I had to get a new hard drive and other parts and was wondering if i use a sata cable to transfer all of my steam files to my new hard drive will all of my games be ready to play after its done and will all my saved game files also be usable afterwards? plz and thanks

yes but you can't copy/paste data. The data should be ghosted/imaged from the old hard drive to the new hard drive (as long as the old hard drive doesn't have any problems).

If you can still use your old hard drive I recommend easeus disk copy
