Hi,

My friend and myself went half's in purchasing star wars the old republic on pc.... would it be illegal to install the same copy on both our pcs?

No it would be be legal for you to buy one copy and install it on both machines. The reason MMOs are an exception to most (assuming their EULA isn't just horse s**t) is because in order to actually /use/ the game installed you have to buy a key anyway.


So by all means, buy only one copy of the disc, but you'll still end up buying two copies of the game in the long run in order to use the second one.

You have to buy a second key I mean if you intend to use a second account with the software. If not, you have to share an account which means you can't play at the same time, and is likely a breach of ToS and/or EULA.
