Welcome to Gaia! ::

Right, my younger 11 year old sister recently discovered Gaia, and disgusting as it may seem, she has become one of the noob sluts that you see around Towns (Yes I did spy on her and I have no shame).

Solution: I want to block Gaia Online from her Firefox browser, she uses a seperate computer so there'll be no backlash on me. How do I do it?
I'd offer advice, but your sig made me giggle too much.
It's just the internet neutral What harm can it do?
...Why don't you just tell your parents? <_< She's supposed to be 13 to be on here anyway.

Probably better off in the technology forum though.
Isn't there some rule about being thirteen in order to be on Gaia? Eh.
If you're looking to block the site, try asking someone in the Technology forum.
nothing wrong with adding another slut to the mix
Search a bunch of porn sites on her computer. Then show your parents.
you should go to securty settings on her somputer in there you should find a setting to where you can set sites you allow or don't allow. and if shes 11 she shouldn't be on here in the first place. i can't say i blame you for wanting that bro.
You can try adding it as a suspected attack site or something razz
Depending on your router, you can block specific sites (or keywords) and assign that filter to certain computers.
Other than that you'd have to have access to her computer I bet.

Scroll to where it says "How to Block A Website in All Web Browsers"
First off, if she's any good with computers, it would mostly depend on what type of browser she uses. If firefox, there are several addons to act as a parental spy thinger. I should be in bed, don't mind my language. But anyone in firefox safe mode can disable things like that. Secondly, if it's IE, you should be able to do so through Control Panel > Internet Options, assuming you're using XP.

Secondly, you could very well report her to a mod for breaking the Gaian TOS, so should you be able to actually prove you're her brother, and she is actually 11. She'd either get banned, if this "slutty" things can be proven, or her account would be temporarily banned until her actual birthday occurs. My brother made an account before the 13 year rule, and after it came out, he wasn't able to log back in on that account until then.

Furthermore, depending on your anti-virus/ firewall program, you can set certain sites as "forbidden."

However, honestly, I'd suggest telling your parents. And they can do whatever they like with that. They'll be able to put up programs and passwords and whatever else you like
1.) Open “Run” from the start menu (or press WinKey + r). Just copy paste the following path and hit ENTER.

notepad &#xwi;ndir&#xsy;stem32driversetchosts

Alternately, go to C:WindowsSystem32DriversEtc and find the file “hosts”. Open that file in Notepad.

2.) When this hosts file is opened in Notepad, at the end of the file you will see something like “127.0.0.1 localhost”.

3.) Under “127.0.0.1 localhost” just add another website URL that you want to block.

For Example:-

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.rakshitk.com
127.0.0.3 www.whoismadhur.com

4.) Make sure every time you add another website, the last digit of the address 127.0.0.x should not be the same.

5.) Save file and exit.
you know this is the second time that I have had to tell you off. we are here to help, follow the rules and be generally a good citizen. it seems to me that you have the complete inability to do so. if you want to be this way then go to some forum that actually wants to deal with you.

@op
the best thing to do would be to talk to your parents about this and tell them the circumstances (having to be 13) and let them take it from there.
