Raedon HD 4650 VPU errors?

Uh yeah i just recently built a new gaming rig low budget of course but handles anything out right now but when im playing certain games ill get an VPU error saying the card isnt responding im not sure if it has to do with power supply or not but i have a 450 watt

WHAT IS THE EXACT MAKE AND MODEL OF YOUR PSU?

Its a power supply issue if you don't actually have enough AMPS on the 12v rails.

"PCI Express based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
400 Watt or greater power supply"

Is your PSU 80+ ? 70%+?

It could be a power issue (so please tell us either the model or 12V amperage of your PSU) but since the 4650 has all of its power supplied through the motherboard I doubt that's the problem. Possible, but unlikely. I'd recommend uninstalling whatever video driver you have installed and either install the newest revision available, or roll back to an earlier revision if you are currently using the latest one.

i changed them when it first started happening so i put in the disc and did teh find updates from the instal CD and it still occurs just not as much only on occasion now

Go to this site, download the latest 32-bit Windows XP driver for the Radeon 4650, UNINSTALL the driver you're currently using, restart the computer after the UNinstall, and once you've rebooting install the new driver.
