Welcome to Gaia! ::

About three days ago a pink line 1-2pixel wide appeared down the right side of my screen about 2/3 across, i always associated anything pink with graphics card issues, but the line was still there when i unplugged the screen.

I left it unplugged for a few hours in case it was overheating or something and after that the line vanished.

But sadly the line reappeared again today.

Anyone know if this is the screen just dying or maybe overheating or something totally fixable???

Its an old screen HG221A with a huge scratch across the other side so It wouldn't surprise me if it was dying just wanted to check to see if anyone had had this before I look for a new screen. I like this its true colour is true as true can be. sad

Thanks for any assistance
If it is there when the screen is unplugged it means it is a physical defect in the monitor. COntact the manufacturer and have them replace it, if it is under warranty.

Sadly its about a seven years old and second hand so i doubt its still under warranty. But this morning the line is gone, so i am really hoping overheating has got something to do with it. Although thanks for advice smile
