A couple years ago I cracked the screen on my Dell Vostro 1000 and I've recently decided to replace it.
I opened it up today to check the Dell part # (0CD514) And the LCD Model # (B154EW01). I put both of these numbers into Google and it gives me links to Dell Inspiron 6400, E1505 and 1501.
I checked a listing on eBay for a screen from an Ispiron 1501 that has a different part number. Will that be compatible with my laptop?
Also, what is the significance of the "V.4" circled in green in the picture below? Because when I put the model # in eBay it gives me listings for screens with the same model but different V.#. Is that something I should be aware of when buying a new screen?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no clue what the "V.4" means in this picture. The only help I can give you is to go to Dell.com and look up what that means on the sticky thingy. Lol. And better yet, call Dell yourself to find out what it means from a customer rep, though I would ask for a service tech cause those people can sometimes be no help at ALL.
