Need HDMI help please? (audio issue)

I'm trying to sync my laptop to my TV via HDMI. I'm getting video, but
the audio is only coming out of the laptop. I've done this dozens of times
before without any problems. I thought it might be Win 7, but it was
working the other day and I had 7 already installed.

When I go to switch my playback output to HDMI, it doesn't show up as
an option. It's like my computer isn't recognizing that the HDMI cable is
plugged in, but I'm getting video just fine . . .

The only other thing I could imagine it might be is AVG 9 or PhotoImpact
12, because the sound had been working prior to my installment of both
those programs, but I just don't see how either of those could be
interfering with the HDMI :/

Did you install the hdmi audio driver?

Hmm, I'm not positive, but I've got to assume it's installed, unless it's
something that was just recently (within the last two days) updated.
Everything was working fine two days ago. Only after I made those new
installments (AVG 9.0 and PhotoImpact 12) did it start doing this.
