My Scanner

I'm not sure, but something is wrong with my scanner. It's connected and everthing but everytime I try to scan it says that it isnt connected.

Any help with this problem?

Unplug the scanner from the computer, pull the power for about.... 15 seconds, then plug in the power, wait five seconds, and then plug the scanner back into the system.
