Hey my fellow Gaians!! I was wondering if anyone knows a good computer (under $1500) that will be able to play L4d 2!! My parents said they would buy it if i told them what it was and if it was under $1500 biggrin . So I was wondering if u know of a computer that meats/exceeds the specs needed to play it! Thanks in advance! smile

While I won't do your shopping for you, I can tell you that 1500 should definitely be more than enough.

Well now that depends on whether you're looking for a premade model or just parts. If you're looking for a premade model, I would normally recommend the Velocity Micro Raptor Z90 but in this case (due to budget) I'll have to say the Edge Z30 is where you should start. http://www.velocitymicro.com/wizard.php?iid=186

For $1500 you can afford a wide variety of computers that can play L4D2, but if you're looking for a computer that can run it and look awesome, check out Alienware. They're overpriced, but they look pretty kickass.

Check out my shop in the Marketplace. Bound to be something you like in there. Eventually.
(This is where the link would go, but the only one I can find would end up linking you to your own store...)
i think 1500 is enough mrgreen

Bullshit. They're s**t computers for the price. You can literally build your own with the exact same specs for (again, literally) thousands cheaper. You're (again, literally) paying for the logo on the case.

@OP:

A) Go to http://www.newegg.com and buy parts you'll need and build your own.

B) Go to http://www.newegg.com and look at pre-build computers that meet/exceed recommended specs.

-or-

C) Go to a site such as http://www.cyberpowerinc.com (or another site like it) and build your own on-site, and have it shipped pre-assembled, but is a custom-build. Pricier than building it yourself, but some say it's worth it.

Try an Xbox 360...
Not a computer, but it runs on a PC monitor and is WAY cheaper than $1500.

Xbox360s sound like a jumbo taking off when they're running and they can't help you with your homework either. Also aren't conversions against the forum rules?

I'm a lady, and I work in IT. I've been using computers for over 20 years (ah DOS and WordPerfect and when function keys HAD a function) and I've been in the IT industry for over 10 years.

I think that just about makes me viable to give computer advice.

They do sound loud, but it actually depends on their resting surface...
Conversion? Hmm?
