Is it a good deal for the money? I know that amazon says 900, but i can get it refurbished on there for 729..

also not sure if I could just build a better one for the same price.

Depends on the parts you pick.

But yes CyberpowerPC have been investigated by the BBB many times and have had extremely poor ratings relating to their "quality control" or lack thereof. A quick Google search would clarify this.
