do you play ANY game boy advance games?
The DSi doesn't have a advance slot, so if you do, don't bother. Personally i think they are not worth it for now, but thats just my opinion as someone who uses expansion cart's |

my friend has one...it's not that great. And i still play a lot of GBA games and I sold my GBA since I use my DS...

igarrstar i im thinking of giting a nintendo dsi but i dont no if there good? they're basically the same thing as the ds lite or regular ds w/o the gameboy advance slot. i was gonna get 1 too but the only thing it does different is take pics n vids but i have a 5.0 megapixel camera phone nd a digital camera so wat do i need a dsi 4???? |

2nd - Buy the DSI If You Dont Have ANY Camera. Lol. It Has No GBA Slot. So its Basically a Rip off. The DS Is Better IMO |

The DS is a good system, but the problem is some of the game designs really don't flow with the system...

Well, yeah, you get a camera, and a slimlined DS while losing the GBA slot. Honestly, the DS Lite is just as nice and you should be fine with that unless you have a strong need for a camera.

I don't think this gen is worth buying. Yeah the screen is a bit bigger but not by much and the browser is a bit laggy. I have a ds lite and Im good with it cause I play plenty of games on it. If you really want one hold off until the next one comes out.

Personally, I reccommend it.
I play mega hours of DS, so it's worth it for me (bigger screen, smaller, love where the power button is). Also, the camera is decent, and it's my MP3 player when I want them without headphones, through my SD card. There's the random applications, the just-for-emergencies-or-mobile-versions-of-websites-browsers, and the ability to upload photos directly to facebook. Gotta say, the rainbow pen in PictoChat was cool. I think, if you're the type of person who doesn't have a DS, get the DSi. If you already have one, I'd get a DSi. I can't possibly see myself bothering with the DS or DSlite ever again, until I need the advance slot for my Pokemon. |

The quality isn't so bad, but if you could do this already with your own computer or have another mp3 player or even a cellphone with online capabilities, then it defeats the purpose of the DSI, except to exclusively play DS & DSi games. I mean, sure, there are exclusive DSi games coming out, but it isn't that often. Also, if you manage to find... "Flashcarts", you can maximize the worth of your DS and save even more money, heh heh. So... Whether you have a DS or not, if you really want a DS, get a DS, not a DSi. |

even though the dsi is a really cool piece of tech and i do think you should get it its not cool that they took the gba slot out of it!!! and i do have a dsi! its really kool but I still play my ds lite over the dsi. lol xp
