Is the adapter listed on Device Manager?
If so:
See if there's a driver update for the adapter since that may well fix the issue.
If not:
It have been fitted incorrectly and need reseating.
It says the driver is up to date and how do I reset it?
I did not say about resetting. I said about reseating which is only if the device was not listed in the Device Manager which would indicate that it was not properly placed into the machine and would need correctly placing, which is called reseating, which is a term used outside of technology to mean getting your arse out of the seat and putting it back in.
******** run on sentences but in this case it is necessary to explain what was actually said and a bit of background as to where the term reseating comes from because most computing terms are derived from the real world.
