crazybrowser is just an IE shell. You're still using the original IE.

No conversion, even if one can equate IE to being engulfed in flames, and Firefox to sitting in a comfy chair eating a slice of strawberry cake while NOT engulfed in flames.

Get a friend to put some anti spyware scanners on a CD so you can run them to evict whatever is preventing IE from running.

Put a couple of other browsers on your drive, once you get IE running again, so you have some way to download stuff to fix it if it goes sour again. Browsers do co-exist. Just make your favourite the 'default' browser and tell the rest not to check for default status.

I'd rather picture Firefox as using a firehose labelled 'AdAware' to put the burning IE out, and Opera in paramedic gear waiting its turn.

Yeah, I run multiple browsers. Keeping them all functional minimises problems.
