I don't know what I need to know, or where to find the correct one. Because the last sound driver I installed, which was for this exact model number and computer on the website, made my computer blue screen every 2 hours or so with the error message saying it was the driver that was causing it. I uninstalled the driver, but now I have no sound and no idea how to get it.

I got this laptop from this program I was in and they gave me the laptop without disks or drivers.

Ok, Couple questions:
What Manufacter and what is the model of the computer, eg Dell Dimension 4400

What OS are you using. Windows xp, Vista, 7

Damn HTC, Slow down with the phones already.
But that "You" commercial is the bomb
Fujitsu Lifebook C1410

Notebook PC - C Series - C1410

Try getting the non-HD driver, since the HD driver they offer is the original (which is likely the one causing you issues).

That website is exactly where I got my driver giving me the problems. I don't know what you mean by getting the non-HD driver.

He means "download the driver that doesn't have HD in the file name". HD means high definition audio... 24-bit audio or above. You probably have a standard audio chipset capable of 16-bit audio.

There is no option for XP that's not HD audio. Go to the website Here and click notebook pc > C series > C1410 > Go

Can someone double check for me?

Gaia sucks. I'm only here for 1 out of 3 reasons.
-The games I've been playing got boring.
-I need help with something.
-Shits and Giggles.
