Any modern virus protection program includes live protection that scans any file created.
The sticky lists multiple programs, and ways to use them effectively.
Read more than the first post before you reply to a thread.
This is a steep upside-down pyramid.

I will never understand why people makes viruses, im a bit of a hacker but i do it for my own self gain and dont do it to screw others over royally unless they really really are asking for it and then its not all that bad usually just make something irritating and bug them till they reboot lol.

If you're running Vista/Win7 and you have that "gray" background and you can't click anything, it may be that something is trying to access programs/applications that require administrative privileges and therefore the permission popup is preventing it from doing so (which would make it a trojan/virus in all likelihood). First things first. Install a good antivirus (in order of detection rate: Avira, Nod 32, Symnatec (Norton)) and run the AV. If you can't run the AV, try going into safe mode to diagnose the problem.

That's illegal. Doing it just to have some fun and not get anything in return would get less severe repercussions. If I hack your com to get your credit card numbers and other personal info for my own personal gain while doing nothing to your computer, I go from being a hacker to a criminal. If I hack into someone's computer and install a virus/trojan to test its effectiveness, I'm more of a researcher/experimenter who is using someone else's computer as a guinea pig. It is still illegal as I hacked into the computer and altered data, but it is not as severe as identity theft and fraud. BTW FYI hacking isn't illegal if you don't change the data that you were able to access via hacking 3nodding
