Welcome to Gaia! ::

Could someone please tell me how to patch a video file with a .SSA file, the subtitles file. Where could I find a program that works for that? Or is there any other way?

Thank you.
First, download and install VirtualDub.

Then, download the Subtitler Filter, and extract it to the "Plugins" subdirectory.

Then open your movie in VirtualDub, go to Video > Filter > Add in the menus, and select the Subtitler filter. It should ask you for the location of the subtitle file, so just enter the address.

Don't be surprised when it takes a long time (hours) to save your video, because it has to re-encode the whole file.

If you just want to watch a video with subs, I believe that MediaPlayer Classic (among others) will allow you to run an external subtitle file at the same time as your video file, which saves a lot of time if you only want to watch it once.
Hey! Thanks a lot for the info. I will try it right away. Once again, thank you. 3nodding
