it's quite easy wink

use either windows or DOS to make your directory and name it something like
"bleh"

then rename it, delete bleh and hold ALT and press 255 let go of ALT.. it shoudl look like you pressed the spacebar(but you didnt) now press enter.

wala, you have an invisible, undeleteable directory.

Ahh, the joys of ascii code folders. Sheer wonders. Sadly, the ascii trick only works in win98 and below.

Let's see... I can set the Read Only, Hidden, and/or System flags on a directory, put characters like ASCII 255 in the directory name, and put a file with high-ASCII characters and its System and Hidden flags set in the directory.

All of which can slow someone down, but not prevent someone who knows DOS from deleting the directory. And DELTREE and KillDir can still eradicate it.

Plus, anyone who can use a Linux 'LiveCD' bootable OS on CD can do whatever they want.
