Las Chupacabras

My friend has a virus and she cant get rid of it..The name of it is LSA Shell ( Export version)...While she is on her computer the window comes up saying that she only has 1 minute countdown until the computer shutsdown.....please help if u know something that can help her get rid of it...

Has she tried running her anti-virus in Safe Mode?

Yes...she scans her computer everyday and still comes up...

after it shutsdown her computer she restars it and It comes back up...IT happens bout 3 times a day she says...

Please don't bump in C&T.

I know you said she scans her computer every day, but has she actually booted into Safe Mode and scanned from there?

(because nobody in their right minds would scan from Safe Mode every day...)

Open a command prompt, type in
shutdown -a
to abort the shutdown. Then scan.

run command.com, or command.exe
start/all programs/accessories/command prompt

LSA shell is not a virus its part of the windows operating system...

Removing it would be execptionally hard, and potentionally damageing to your computers connectivty. hense why when you abort it windows thinks somthing is trying to compromise it.

And if you hit F8 repeatedly during the bootup process, it SHOULD give you the option of booting into Safe Mode.
