most of the time when im doing normal things on the computer like playing games and surfing the web my whole pc frezes. and a blue screen pops up that says "an error has been detected in windows. shuting down to prevent major damage. begining physical memory dump, memory dump completed. what should i do? this has been an ongoing problem and my computer isnt even a year old yet!!

I cant be to sure, but its sounds like one of your orimary program files was deleted, which is weird because you acnt manually destroy a program file....Basically, A virus is eating your memory files. DO you ahve a PC that came witha windows disk? Because at this point in time, System Recovery wont work. You'll ahve to reinstall windows....Tough luck.

Ooo, BSoD. What version of Windows are you running?

You should run a virus scan on your computer as well, AVG (available here) is free and effective. You might also want to try a spyware search. Use Ad-Aware (available here) and/or Spybot Search & Destroy (look here for it) to scan for the spyware.

There might also be some problems with your Registry, so check out this for cleaning up your Registry.

i have windows xp professiol ed. and ad-aware and spybot did nothing so i unistalled them

oh and whenever i start my pc this window pops up that says windows system 32. and sometimes when the blue screen pops up it says something about system 32

Ongoing memory dumps? That's not good. Could mean that one of your RAM chips is going south on you. Sometimes it's caused by program collisions..but that's rare. Expecially on XP Pro. How much memory do you have in the comp?

All I have to say pretty much now is... Ouch. I usually don't ever crash my XP Pro, and I'm running it on a very old setup.

Anyway, try running the virus scan, and uninstall other programs you don't use any more. Remember to clean your registry. If you can manage to find someone with a Recovery disk or an install disk for XP Pro, you might be able to do a repair install for it.

This isn't the chatterbox, sometimes it takes a while to get a response. I have no idea how to fix your problem, but the person who suggested faulty RAM is probably on the right track. If you know how to, take the RAM out of your computer and put a different/spare kind in, and see if that helps anything.
