don't ask for any more info I don't have it.
First thing I would suggest would be to try a different browser. Other minor suggestions would be to clear your browser cache and cookies.

the big question is can OTHER people get to there "my maps" page on Google maps? or is the thing down all over the whole net.

I wanted you to to go to YOUR "my maps" and take a look.

but I'll keep that in mind just the same

also there is no logical reason a browser should randomly stop working after it worked before.

no can I clear those things with out loosing my saved passwords and saved urls?

... except for the hundreds of things that happen behind the scenes without a normal user being aware. For browsers, things like plugins and addons (two separate categories) can be added without user consent. about::plugins should give you a list, while checking the addons menu gives you another.

Often when content stops loading, it's because some sort of restriction tool (either an ad blocker, or antivirus plugin) is mistakingly blocking it.

It works for me, by the way. Check your addons and crap.

another helpful hint now is googl maps "my maps" down wolrd wide for all users? or nation wide for most users? I mean if Im to just sit back and wait this out untillm THEY fix it for me then that's fine by me too.
I don't see how it'd be by nation or area.

Does it work in firefox's safe mode?
My maps works just fine for me.

Update windows, update flash player, run ccleaner (just remember your passwords), then try again
clear your browser cache and cookies....did not work all it did was log me out and tick me off

add-ons has a freecorder tool bar what's that all about?

2nd refer back to my screen shot is that section some thing that could be blocked by useing addblock pluss 1.0 and acsidently hitting some thing while clicking "get directions" and then hitting "print screen" since that is all I did before the list vanished.

3rd is there a hidden setting on google maps that hides all text?

can any one give me the real answer? some one who has had this happen before? I don't want to run about flipping things I know nothing about trying to sort this all out.

Chances of finding someone who has had this happen are pretty slim. Have you tried another browser? Or for that matter another computer? I mean really now, you don't want to be changing things and messing with your settings if it's just that google is running maintenance on select accounts or something.

well id DOES run on Internet Explorer...and its one of FEW website that DO run on it for me any way.

but I didn't want to run an other browser or computer untill I knew how wide spread the problem was. its like when Gaia goes off line some times its my cable box some times its the Gaia suerver. I always have to IM some one and ask "is Gaia down" if they say yes then it is if I cant log on to IM then I jiggle the litle whire, but I don't know any one who uses google maps so I can't just ask random friends.

so now we know its some thing on Mozilla and I know it was working perfectly as of September what else do I check?

also consider that google maps has a hid/show feture I may have hiden every thing and then hidden the hide/show toggle switch and also hidden all the other links, icons and buttions if so I need away to unhide the hjide/show bution so I can show all.

also my problem could have been on that lots of people had, had before ....

Running Firefox Safe mode isn't hacking. It's a diagnostic tool. Saying you're not going to run it is like telling a doctor he can't use his stethoscope and latex gloves and then moaning when he can't see you because he got infected by another patient's blood.

Run Firefox in Safe Mode and then tell us if it works. If it does then you have a problematic add-on installed which will need to be removed/disabled.

running safe mode did NOT solve the problem in fact it disabled my tools bars and going in to "tools, enable" did NOT bring them back now I need a way to EXIT safe mode and get my tools back and I STILL need to fix the actual problem what ever it is!

Update: my add-ons came back when I closed and reoppened, Google maps "my maps" still won't work. please think OUT SIDE the box regarding promles and sugest some thing so siple it was over looked since its clearly not the internet and not the add ons what's left?

That's the POINT of safe mode. It disables anything that might be the cause of the problem. The fact that it didn't help tells us that it's not your extensions or themes that is causing your problem, whatever it is.

Throwing a hissy fit only discourages us from helping you. If you want help, CALM THE ******** DOWN and follow our instructions as we try to determine what is wrong.

It's also entirely possible for it to just "not work" because of issues with your ISP. (Such as lost/mangled packets, filtering, throttling, etc., or temporary issues with your ISP's backbone provider. ALL of which is entirely out of your control.)

All that is left is a potential issue with data coming down the pipe. Without knowing any more pertinent information, that's pure speculation.

Try this:

Close your browser. Start it again.
Type "maps.google.com" in your address bar. Press enter.
Log in if necessary.
Click "My Maps."

Do nothing else. Do exactly those steps. Do not deviate.

Does it work? Yes or no?
Is there any response at all? Do you see any activity in the status bar or address bar? Any indication at all that it's "loading"?

If the answer to any of those questions is "no," then try a different browser such as Opera or Chrome. If you have the same problem, then it's not an issue you can debug yourself without in-person assistance.
