General computer question...

Alright, I know I've been occasionally coming here to ask you guys for advice on a computer that I haven't ever got yet, but as I've nearly got enough for this computer (unlike the previous times, when I had nothing), I'm actually going to get it... I was just wondering your opinions on it...

Also, if anyone has had any experience with using pcspecialist.co.uk, any details about them - how easy they were to work, how good the computer you got was etc etc - would be much appreciated.

The benchmark for it was Crysis, and a friend of mine said it should be able to run it;

it is much cheaper(and better)[in my oppion] to buy a computer in parts and put it together it's fun, challenging, and you can find certain parts cheapier if you know where to look wink

For the price your paying for that computer I think its fine, its GREAT IF your getting a monitor and all the accessories. x3

That's a decent system for the price. A Core i5/i7 system would be ideal as far as performance (you could see a 10-20% performance improvement depending on the game) and upgradability goes, and you could build such a system but probably won't be able to buy one off the shelf at this price point. Still, this config would be more than capable as far as gaming is concerned.

Yeah, unfortunatly it's without a screen or mouse.
I might have a screen going free already, and if not then...I'll just have to wait a bit longer before being able to use it I guess. biggrin

it should be able to run alot of things if you know what you are doing with the computer.I don't have alot of experience with computers but i know this that you could always check the task manager,the run option or even help and support that should at least help with the importance of the computer processor!

Indeed, though I'm currently w8ing for the mx17 to change from it's Intel 2 to i7 processor
& it still hasn't happened for a while. Only the very newest of systems seem to have it or even
just let it be in the customisation options. Quite annoying, some1 showed me a benchmark
test showing the different performances of a number of processors & the i7 was twice as fast
as the Intel 2.

I'd advise u to w8 till the i7 is available for that computer or go onto another similar PC with it, it
shouldn't cost much more if anything more & would make a very considerable difference to ur
performance.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with that one; I've not had a computer for several months and really need to get one.

I nearly have enough for it; I just need a bit more...I might be able to convince my parents to loan me the money; I'd be able to pay it back tomorry, but then I'd also have to ask if I could steal their spare moniter. XD
