As I've been ranting and raving again and again, I'm going on a trip to Tokyo with my boyfriend as a celebration for our birthdays! When looking into phone rental (in case we get split up, especially since he's the only one who speaks the language), I started highly considering getting a mobile internet unit so that we could have access to Yelp, Google Maps, and Facebook Messenger + Google Voice (so we can still make contact home if needed without excessive charge).

To be honest, I have no idea what we're doing in Japan because I'm letting him plan all of our activities, but we will likely be doing a bit of traveling even when there.

Our options for internet cost the same. They are Docomo 3G or Wimax broadband.
