I personally think you don't as long as you don't download apps outside Google Play, which is what I don't plan to do anytime soon. I've managed to stay virus free on my Droid for a very long time because I always check the number of downloads and the reviews about the app before installing it. Do you think it's still safe to use a Android phone without a virus scanner?
