Welcome to Gaia! ::

This started last night, when I was drunk. I thought, "Hey, it's funny to look up stupid porn!"

Man, I was wrong. I got spammed with viruses, and the stupid Coolweb trojan. And a few different types of it.

I figured CWShredder would work. It used to. USED to. I tried to open it, and it said something about the Oleacc.dll file missing. So I've googled it, and nothing came up. Nothing of real use, anyway. (Getting this fixed would be my FIRST thing on my many lists of things to do.)

At this point, I got frustrated and went to bed. Woke up in the morning, and decided to run this damned registry cleanup program that I randomly found (I can't remember where). In hopes that it would fix it, but knowing it probably wouldn't. I was still sort of screwed up from the night before. I feel like a complete idiot now. x_X

Now half of the programs I most frequently used, or have used in the past and attempted to reinstall don't work anymore. MSN, Internet Explorer (I caved in, downloaded firefox), a few anti-virus programs.

My computer lags like a b***h, and I randomly run out of memory. But that's the least of my problems, since it's usually caused by the programs I'm too lazy to turn off in the background.

And I can't even check to see what's running anymore, either. CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't work, but that's really nothing new - since it hasn't worked for a long time. I don't even know how that got screwed up, since it's a family computer.. and my mom's abit of an idiot.

I'm looking for a fix for this. My computer can NOT be reformatted, since the make is Tiny (Which is a dead brand now), and the computer is from england. So most of the drivers I can't find. I know this, cuz my brother attempted to reformat the computer, when my friend decided to download a cracked version of UT a year or so ago. 3,000+ viruses later.. <<;

PLEASE keep your comments to yourself, if you have any negatives floating about. I'm frustrated, and even if you are joking, I'll report you to a mod. I know it seems rash, but. @_@;

Thanks for reading this over. ^^u And thanks even more if you decide to help me out.
My suggestion is to obtain and use the following programs immediately;
AVG Anti-Virus (Grisoft.com)
Adaware (Lavasoftusa.com)
Spybot S&D (Safernetworking.org)

Smart move, shifting to Firefox, it's worlds safer. After you get everything mopped up, grab a firewall as well, and make certain to keep your anti-virus running and updated.

As a side-note, I've never found a registry clean-up program that's done its job well and left my setup unharmed. The three programs I mentioned above are, in my opinion, your best bet. If you're wanting for a firewall, Sygate has a free edition that's wonderful. It survived a few Hacker wars, hopefully it will keep you safe as well. I'd like to know how all this turns out.

If you need any more help, feel free to PM or e-mail me.

[And as a side-note, you can always back-up all your drivers onto a CD, reformat, and still have the rare drivers. It's probably a good idea incase your computer ever sinks below the point of return beyond a HDD wipe.]

But the thing is, I don't even know how to reformat, and I would if I could. I haven't actually done it before, so I'm kind of 'iffy' on going ahead and doing so.

I'm going to go grab my stack of CDs, to start putting s**t on them. Just incase it does come down to me doing that.
Get those three programs. Run them all, see what they come up with. Might install/run them one at a time, so they can free up your system bit by bit. That should take care of any unwanted programs you picked up.

I already own all the programs, and a few other spyware / anti-virus programs.

It doesn't help the problem. AT ALL. @_@;
I can hop on MSN Messenger if you'd like. Information gathering's a bit easier through messengers, anyway.

If you read the part about my programs being screwed by the program I decided to run, it says I can't use MSN. So the only thing I can use right now is Firefox.

If you would like, I can go into some in depth detail on the formatting but I can keep it simple. Getting task manager back up just was a lost shortcut that was taken out from the registry. It is not that hard to bring it back up, but you have to do it the hard way now. "windows key and R" or windows run menu.

Drivers are not that hard for any computer, just have to find the right site for them. Most likely, you have an intel board though, so most of them can be found at intel.com. I have a program that can identify all the hard to get hardware parts and where to find their drivers if you would like it.

Over all, you might want someone else looking at your computer since it doesn't seem that you know 'all' that much about it.

PM me if you would like more assistance on your problem (sorry about the delay, I'm doing laundry.)
None of those three are helping? eek eek

This isn't good...Well. That registry cleanup program looks to be the main problem with the programs dying on you. If you can figure out what the name was, I think we can get something from there.
Hah, suppose I missed that. So, when you say the programs don't help, what do you mean? Will they not run? Do they not find anything? Do they find plenty but still don't seem to make a dent in the horde of virii festering in your machine?

A lot of your trouble is from the spy/ad/malware on your machine, but I imagine a good bit of it comes from your tattered registry. Reinstallation of broken programs might resolve this (It's obvious, I know, but I'm trying to be thorough here), and help piece your registry back together as well.
I've attempted to uninstall/reinstall things that I use most often. Even go through and fix things, instead of uninstalling them for the second time. They don't work. And when I log on MSN, I can send a message to someone, and then it'll tell me there's an error, and shuts down.

Internet explorer just gets to the homepage, and then has an error. @_@;

Mainframe04: I've gone through and attempted to find the drivers just now. I'm having a hellofa hard time, and I don't have the patience to let someone else look at my computer. No matter how good they are, I'd rather learn by doing it myself, and the fact that my mom thinks there's 'nothing wrong' with my computer doesn't help the situation at all. If I had a job, and money to spare, I would definately get it looked at.

Windows key + R doesn't work. Just tried that. And going in to the indepth part on formatting would be lovely.
Seems I missed something.

They occasionally find s**t. But then when they say they've fixed it, and I run ANOTHER scan, it comes back.

I seriously wish someone had a fix for oleacc.dll. That way I could run CWShredder, and at least PART of the problem would be fixed.
1) go into add remove programs and get rid of anything suspisous
2) spybot
3) adaware
4) Clear your cache
5)Hijackthis.exe, although don't delete anything, put up your findings here
6) defrag and disk clean
7) also scan disc just in case

if nothing works get some norton

and finally get a new comp cause you're ********

And you can't reinstall CWShredder, right? Someone else with it installed might have that dll..
