Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm trying to transfer a file to my internetless G3 iMac via a flash drive, but when I plug it in, a message pops up saying "The software needed to run the Cruzer U3 cannot be found..." or something along those lines. Ideas?

The iMac is running OS 8.6 cuz I'm a badass like that.
Thank you but I'm still getting the same message. sad
U3 is not required to access the drive. you should be able to just open the drive manually.
The icon is not appearing on my desktop and I can't find it in any other part of the computer. I haven't used OS 8 in about 10 years, so I'm gonna need a little help navigating to where it would be.

The desktop.
And since it's not appearing on the desktop, we can conclude I cannot just open it manually.

The U3 Cruzers are GREAT for hacking Windows, but are almost completely useless on *nix systems like OS X and Linux. My advice is to get a cheap non-U3 flash drive for transferring files.
Yeah, I kinda noticed and that seems like the way to go. Or CD-RW's which are even cheaper. But it's all good
