Best Banner/Header Maker for WordPress?

Heyy, I need a better software for my banner/headers that I make, because I make alot of different graphics for WordPress.com, and my blogs are starting to suck because my graphics are made with Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and Microsoft Paint redface confused so I need a better software, better than the free downloadable Photoshop and GIMP.
Advice? Suggestions?

1 - Photoshop isn't free, unless you mean the trial.

2 - You're not going to get more powerful than GIMP free.

If you're looking for something where you press 3 buttons and type in your text, you're not going to get a unique banner. You'll need to actually learn a program and make it yourself if you want it to be unique.

Well, my uncle bought a laptop that had free Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fireworks, which I see is amazing. I tested it out, and they're cool, but I don't have them 24/7. Thanks for the advice though. biggrin
