Aquarium makes my PC run like a snail

does anyone have this problem? everything on Gaia runs fine for me except this. i have my Nvidia settings on high performance. However, my computer is a 2002 Dell Dimension 4600 windows XP.
maybe my pc is just old, but idk why that of all things cant run fast,

It's probably from age. Your computer which was made in 2002 is now looking at it's tenth birthday this year. I believe, but could be wrong, but Aquarium is based in flash, and older, lower spec computers can tend to have issues with this.

It's because, simply, the aquariums are poorly-optimized and run slowly. Flash isn't very good at this sort of thing, and the Gaia devs haven't taken the time to really optimize their code. It's slow even on my own high-end computer, so I've long since disabled aquariums entirely.

Either don't use it or go beg Gaia to improve it.

That will do little to aid in performance for this...As it has been said before the things are poorly written and it's flash. IIRC, flash is far more CPU oriented than GPU.

Although I will say, my computer may not be "top of the line" but it's no lightweight either and the aquariums get a bit sluggish for me as well.
