[ Poll ] Another boring itunes problem that needs to be solved :/

What's your opinion of iTunes?

Righty, my itunes has been like this for a while now and i still haven't found a cure gonk

So basically, i have rated preeetty much everything in my library. Because i like to listen to my favourite tracks so i use the "My Top Rated" playlist quite a lot. However, my ipod now only uploads the songs that's been rated 4 stars and above.
What's even stranger is that when i changed the setting for the "My Top Rated" playlist so that it started with 3 stars and upwards, my ipod was then synced with all the songs that are 3 stars and upwards. So i don't get my 2 star or 1 star songs.

I hope i'm explaining this right! >_<'

So yeah. I've recently changed the playlist back to it's original setting with the 4 stars and upwards. So i now only have songs on my ipod that have got the rating of 4 or 5 stars. It's quite annoying.
I'm wondering if anyone has the same problem or if you know how to fix it? Or both, maybe ^^

But when you change the settings of the top rated playlist, does it check/uncheck songs?
If so, is your ipod set to sync all songs or only checked songs?
Or maybe it's set to only sync certain playlists?
What are your ipod's sync settings?

All the songs are checked/ticked and i've got it set so that it syncs all the ticked songs. I have specifically ticked which playlists go on my ipod (some of them i don't need on my ipod). If it's any help, i've got the new ipod Nano and the version of iTunes 9.

Edit: I know this is going to make me sound like a complete idiot when i ask this, but what settings are changed if i click "Restore" when the ipod is connected? I know what the description of it says and i know that it would restore the original settings.. I guess what i'm really asking is, would i loose anything? A playlist or whatever? Would you advise restoring it?
